2015 Show
Pocono Ponies Live 2015 was a huge hit! We had a total of 34 entrants and still had a waiting list! 7 of our entrants were Kids entrants, most attending Pocono Ponies Live as their first show. Showers came in from Ohio, Maine, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and even Indiana to come to our show here in Pennsylvania. We were able to make a donation of $1,200 for Our Mims Retirement Haven in Paris, Kentucky, an organization that rescues and rehabilitates retired thoroughbred racehorses and broodmares.
The 2015 Pocono Ponies show hosted several varied divisions, including OF halter, AR/CM halter, Performance, OF mini, and even OF and CM/AR jackpot color classes. Our Kids entrants were guided by two expert judges, teaching them how to improve on their entries for their next show. All Kids were given two Breyer catalogs and were able to pick out free horsey books! One lucky winner, Taylor Hayes, won a Liam Horse of the Year model in our special Kids raffle.
In fact, one of our Kids won Razzmatazz too! Kaitlyn Wheeler was thrilled when her card was drawn, and she walked away with her gorgeous new western pony! Congratulations Kaitlyn!
In addition to the two special raffles, we had three tables full of great items donated by show attendees and supporters. Included was a Sugar and Spice resin by Rayvin Brewer, a mini Hank McCoy resin family by Sue Kern, a custom GG Valentine by Sarah Warren, a huge Hershey’s candy basket, lined pony pouches, a painted Treasured resin, and many, many more! We thank Breyer for accepting us into their great benefit program, we hope to be a part of it again next year!
